application process

All applicants are required to submit an online application for each quarter/semester for which they will be attending. Once the applicant has submitted their application, the Program Administrator receives email notification that the application has been received. The Program Administrator will then forward the application to the registrar's office of the student's school to verify that the student is enrolled on a full-time basis and that the student's cumulative GPA meets the minimum requirement. The Program Administrator, after receiving verification of the applicant's enrollment status and GPA, will update the status of the student's application.

 

Note: Because academic institutions will not verify student information until after formal registration (which is defined as after the completion of drop/add week), requests for verification are not sent until approximately the third week of August for fall semester and approximately the first week of January for spring semester.

 

Once the Program Administrator receives verification from the registrar that the student meets the above-mentioned eligibility requirements, three letters will be sent:

  1. One to the academic institution the student is attending, with the scholarship check enclosed;

  2. One to the MMA-NW employee;

  3. One to the student notifying him/her that the funds have been sent to the school.
